Following several hours of crew maneuvers on the AC45 prototype this morning, the catamaran capsized on the Hauraki Gulf in Auckland. No one on board was hurt. The wing-sail did receive some damage, the extent of which is unknown at this stage. The ACRM shore team will work to repair the wing as soon as possible.Iain Murray, CEO of ACRM commented, "The purpose of the prototype is to give the competitors and ACRM experience with these types of boats and wing sails. Fortunately no one was injured. I am confident we will get this boat back sailing very soon."The AC45 prototype is managed by ACRM on behalf of the America's Cup competitors. Artemis Racing is the third team to sea trial the boat and today was the first day of their session. Per standard procedure, an ACRM representative was on board. The team hopes to be back on the water later this week.
